FB post. “Thank you NDAC for sharing JMU's amazing resource for our LGBTQ+ Community!!
When it comes to medicine and health, sometimes our LGBTQ+ community is not consider in the conversation or has additional barriers accessing healthcare. Two great resources we found that speaks directly to the LGBTQ+ community about our risks with COVID-19, and how to create a plan of action, are here! @lgbtcancernetwork has a great article, updated weekly from LGBTQ+ healthcare professionals, here: cancer-network.org/coronavirus-2019-LGBTQ-info/ . Another great resource is a webpage from @lgbtcommunityofficial with steps on creating a Plan of Action, located here: transequality.org/covid19 . While we don’t need to panic, being informed on the best practices from healthcare experts is a way to stay safe and ease any anxiety people may be experiencing.”
